In Miami there is "The original Miami Beach Antique Show" And today feb 6th is the last day. It's really worth going to check it out if you are into antiques, great stuff and maybe you get to catch a good deal since is the last day!

And also very exiting, the premier of the movie ""The hidden Face". Very good and the story is totally unexpected.

Good morning all, happy tuesday! Taking on a new decoration project. I am helping my boy to decorate his new office space, and my friend took me to this incredible furniture warehouse where I found the most amazing wood furniture pieces to give a cozy ambiance to the space for very affordable prices.

Buenos días a todos, feliz martes! Tomando un nuevo proyecto de decoración. Estoy ayudando a mi chico a decorar su nueva oficina, y un amigo me ha llevado a un lugar increíble donde encontré unos muebles súper especiales en madera para dar un ambiente acogedor al lugar.

The owner "Paul" a very cool english guy is totally "green conscious". SURABAYA is a direct importer, manufacturer and whole seller of furniture. Their woods are certified as cultivated, they also recycle old teak rail roads ties, which were laid down in the late 1800's by the Dutch in Indonesia.

El propietario de la muebleria "Paul" un Ingles muy amable y totalmente consiente de la "onda verde". SURABAYA es un importador directo, fabricate y vendedor al por mayor. Sus maderas son certificadas como cultivadas, tambien reciclan piezas viajas de ferrocarriles de teca, que fueron instaladas por los Holandeses en 1800's en Indonesia.

I had just received this wonderful book "Roxanne Lowit Backstage Dior" from my dear friend photographer Roxanne Lowit. Where she features her favorite moments from 1997 to 2009 capturing all this creatures (models) dressing with magnificent clothes and jewelry in vivid, full of energy pictures. A pleasure to go through this book, I kind of feel transported to the scenes of each show. She has the ability to immortalize in pictures the good, beautiful, happy side of people, and by the way I love every time she takes pictures of me! Thanks Roxanne, this is a truly honor for me to get this from you!

Acabo de recibir este libro maravilloso "Roxanne Lowit Backstage Dior" de mi querida amiga la fotografa Roxanne Lowit. Aqui ella presenta sus momentos favoritos desde 1997 hasta el 2009 capturando a todas estas criaturas (modelos) vestidas en ropa y joyas como salidas de un sueño en fotos llenas de color y energía. Es un placer pasar pagina por pagina las hojas de este libro, me siento transportada a la escena de cada desfile. Shopping Forever 21

My sister came to visit me for the holidays, and she also came for a shopping marathon. She brought back home couple of pieces from Forever 21 that I got mad about, the overalls on the picture below and some activewear. So I went to their website to browse around and I found a couple more pieces that were worth including in my wardrobe.I love mixing it up. The uptown with the downtown. The soft with the hard. The casual with the elegant. The inexpensive with the expensive. That way I can have fun making my look interesting, different and unpredictable.

As Nina Garcia says, style is about imperfect mixes and unusual juxtapositions, it takes time and trial to perfect the mix. It can't look staged, it has to look effortless.

Mi hermana vino a visitarme para las fiesta navideñas y fin de año, y también les podría decir que vino a un maratón de compras. Trajo a la casa un par de cosas que me volvieron loca de Forever 21, el mono de la foto de abajo y ropa de ejercicio. Me fui a su website y encontré unos numeritos muy coquetos que valen la pena incluir en mi vestuario. A mi me encanta mezclar. Uptown con downtown. Lo suave con lo duro. Lo casual con lo elegante. Lo costoso con lo barato. De esta manera se hace el look mas divertido, interesante e inesperado.

I see my hair with lots of volume, soft and super shiny. I just wash my hair normally and let it dry naturally. I think it's worth to try for gals with thin hair like me.

El "hair potion" es super popular entre los peluqueros. Ya lo vengo usando por un tiempo, y lo descubrí en un trabajo. Este funciona muy bien cuando se quiere dar extra volumen. Da el look un poco arenoso del segundo día después.

The "clove conditioner" is great as well, adds lots, I mean lots of shine and enhances my hair color, this one in particular is for brunettes and honey colors; there is also one available for blondes and red hairs. I apply it after the "pure abundance" shampoo, leave it on my hair for about 2 minutes, massage and on top of that, I don't rinse it, I put the "pure abundance" conditioner and leave it for like extra 3 minutes, rinse and does it. Let it dry naturally now that I have been in vacations or in your case style as usual.

El "acodicionador de clavo" también es buenísimo, da brillo, muchisimo brillo y realza el color del cabello, este en particular es para cabellos cafes y miel; tambien hay disponible para cabellos rubios y rojos. Lo aplico después de ponerme el champu "pure abundance", lo dejo como 2 minutos, masajeo y encima de este sin enjuagarme me pongo el acondicionador "pure abundance" y me lo dejo como 3 minuticos mas, enjuago y ya. Lo dejo secar naturalmnte ahora que estoy de vacaciones o en su caso particular peine como usualmente lo hace.

I got it as a gift from a friend when I was visiting London a couple of weeks ago, and since I haven't been able to go to the beach so much lately, it's perfect to give a touch of color to my skin. This is how we made it to choose Marcela Mar's look for the Emmys. First day we went for vintage to C.Madeleine's, to look for an important dress and try to give the look a touch of uniqueness. There is also a little fun video included on this post of our two day adventure looking for the dress!

Asi fue como hicimos para escoger el look de Marcela Mar para los Emmys. El primer día fuimos por vintage a C'Madeleines, estabamos buscando un vestido importante para tratar de dar un toque unico y de autenticidad al ser vintage. Al final de este post incluyo un video muy divertido de los dos dias que duro la aventura de la busqueda del vestido!

We really really loved this kimono style dress with the color block trend happening very much happening now. Marcela took this dress home, but she didn't wear it for the event though. She is gonna have to work on it with the seamstress, probably make it shorter on the front and longer on the back.

One of the most beautiful things about this dress is the back. The train is flowy and moves beautifully as she walks giving her a goddess presence on the red carpet.

Feeling totally like Thelma and Louise riding this antique car, we were only missing J.D to complete the scene!!!

On our way to find the perfect dress for Marcela to attend the Gala for the Emmys. "Operacion Jaque" was nominated as best international miniseries where she played the main character, which is actually something really exiting and a lifetime experience because it was the first nomination ever for the Colombian film industry.

Sintiendonos totalmente como Thelma y Louise paseando en este carro antiguo, solo nos faltaba J.D para completar la escena!!!

Con rumbo a la búsqueda del vestido perfecto para que Marcela fuera a la gala de la entrega de los premios Emmys en los cuales "Operacion Jaque" estaba nominada como mejor miniserie internacional donde ella tuvo el protagónico, es algo la verdad demasiado emocionante y una experiencia que se podría decir que única en la vida porque es la primera nominación que tiene el cine Colombiano.

This look is a bit modern of what I normally wear, but I am loving this jumpsuit, is super comfy and I don't have to think to much about how to wear it, you know, it's just one piece! And to under dress it I like to wear it with ballerinas, I think it could be too much to wear with heels. What do you guys think?

On thursday my agency ask me for digital pictures to send to a client for a possible job. Normally clients want to see how you look at that moment, hair length, skin condition, weight, etc...Clean face, no make-up, no retouch at all. This is in modeling the equivalent of mug shots!

El jueves me pidieron de mi agencia un par de fotos digitales para mandar a un cliente para un posible trabajo. Normalmente los clientes quieren ver como te ves en ese momento, largo del pelo, condición de la piel, peso, etc...Cara limpia, sin maquillaje, no retoques. Esto es en modelaje lo que equivale a las fotos policiales!

There is nothing better for me than spending time in contact with nature and close to animals. This was during a weekend I spent at my friend's farm Tata Harper in Vermont. What a lovely time!

No hay nada mejor para mi que pasar tiempo en contacto con la naturaleza y cerca a los animales. Esto fue durante un fin de semana que pase en la finca de mi amiga Tata Harper en Vermont. La pasamos muy bien!

Breakfast in the morning. The best, fresh picked strawberries, granola and milk, everything organic from the other farms close by.

On this post I will be sharing about the vitamins and supplements I take on daily basis to make sure I get all the proper nutrients I need to keep my health and my skin with a glow. Since I travel a lot, not always am able to find fresh food, or food I really like so, taking this supplements in a way help to maintain my skin and my health, but the most important more than taking this products it's really what you eat. Later I will post about sources of nutrients in different foods. Anyways here is the list and beauty benefits of the products I use:

en este post compartire con ustedes las vitaminas y suplementos que tomo a diario para asegurarme de obtener los nutrientes que necesito para mantenerme saludable y mi piel radiante. Como la mayoría del tiempo estoy de un lado a otro de viaje, muchas veces me pasa que no encuentro comida fresca o cosas que me gusten, tomando estos suplementos de alguna manera me ayudan a mantenerme, pero mas importante que tomar todo esto en realidad lo mejor es una buena nutrición. Luego haré un post dedicado a las dietas balanceadas. Aquí esta la lista y los beneficios que traen a la belleza estos productos que uso:

A Weekend with Tata Harper

A couple of weeks ago while I was in New York I meet with my friend Tata Harper on a friday night for dinner, then talking and talking she told me, Jenny, I am leaving tomorrow morning to Vermont do yo want to come? I answered, YESSS!

We been planning a trip to her farm for long time and finally there was the perfect opportunity, do some vintage shopping she always told me about the great selection and prices there. Not really thinking about big plans, just to connect with nature, relax, beauty treatments, organic living and have kind of like a girly weekend.

Hace un par de semanas mientras estuve en New York me encontré con mi amiga Tata Harper para cenar un viernes a la noche, y hablando hablando me dijo, Jenny, mañana me voy a Vermont, quieres venir? Y respondí, siiii!

Ya llevabamos planeando este viaje por un tiempo y justo se nos dio la ocasión, hacer un poco de compritas vintage que siempre me dijo que era perfecto lugar para hacerlo por la gran selección y los precios. La verdad no pensábamos en grandes planes,solamente conectarnos con la naturaleza, relajarnos, tratamientos de belleza, vida orgánica. Un fin de semana de chicas.

Our first stop straight from the airport was at one of Tata's favorite spots for vintage (I don't remember the name). I actually loved it as well and wanna go back soon!

Nuestra primera parada inmediatamente que llegamos fue en una de las tiendas favoritas vintage de Tata (no recuerdo el nombre). Yo también adore y quisiera volver pronto!

This painting caught my eye, by a local artist. It's a self portrait of the painter with her two daughters. kind of intense!

Esta pintura me pareció interesante, por una artista local. Es el auto retrato de la pintora con sus dos hijas. Intenso!

One of the things I got from this store, I hanged it at home by the bar.

Next day on sunday at her house, she made this particular mix of green tea and chamomile. I found it kind of interesting flavor, I keep drinking it!

Al dia siguiente domingo en su casa, preparo un te con una mezcla un poco particular, te verde y manzanilla. Me pareció un sabor interesante, y lo sigo tomando, esta bueno!!!

Tata has an amazing eye for decoration and her style for dressing is always playful and feminine, she always looks fab.
We got in the mood for a fashion shoot and Tata putted a couple of outfits together.

Tata tiene un ojo increíble para la decoracion y su estilo para vestirse es siempre divertido y femenino, me encanta cada vez que la veo esta divina.
Ese día nos inspiramos para hacer un shoot de moda y Tata agarro un par de cosas y se armo unos looks.

By the end of the day on sunday we went to the farm next door to get milk, obviously organic! Owned by a very nice swedish couple.

I been using Tata Harper skin care line for about a year already and I just love it all the way, the texture of the creams, the natural smell of flowers and herbs in them and how my skin feels. Moments behind the scenes during the shoot for the new 2012 SanAngel collection. I am so happy to be part of this project because besides being the model I also collaborated with the styling. The idea of the shoot was that this woman was in a vacation trip in Florence, Italy, so the wardrobe kind of classic and contemporary like the Italian chicks. A style that goes beyond trends.I hope you guys like it!!!

Algunos momentos detrás de cámaras durante el shoot para la nueva colección de SanAngel 2012. Estoy súper contenta de hacer parte de este proyecto porque aparte de ser la modelo también tuve mi aporte en la colaboración del estilismo. La idea era que esta mujer estaba de vacaciones en Florencia, Italia, el vestuario tipo clásico y contemporáneo como las chicas italianas. Un estilo que perdura en el tiempo y que va mas alla de las tendencias. Espero que les guste!!!

This time I went behind the scenes at the designer's show in Colombiamoda.

The make up was kept very minimalistic and just framing the face with a strong electric blue on the eyebrows. The hair giving the impression to be totally damp.

Esta vez me fui atras de la pasarela en el show del diseñador en Colombiamoda.

El maquillaje lo mantuvieron muy minimalista y solamente enmarcando la cara con un azul eléctrico en la cejas. El pelo dando una impresión de estar totalmente mojado.
